Elster IRM-3 DUO
Elster's IRM-3 DUO is a rotary gas meter that operates on the positive displacement principle. Thanks to this volumetric measurement principle, their operation is not affected by installation, making them ideal for compact measurement systems without an inlet section. They record gas volume under operating conditions and are approved for fiscal purposes. The IRM-3 DUO meters operate with two phase-shifted pairs of impellers, creating two separate measurement units. This eliminates pulsations typically generated by conventional rotary gas meters. This results in extremely quiet, resonance-free and nearly silent operation of these meters. The number of rotations is proportional to the volume measured. The rotation is transferred to a mechanical index via a gear, after which the volume is recorded.
Electronic volume correction devices (EK) can be used for volume correction.
