Elster's Q counters are highly reliable turbine gas meters used in various industrial applications to measure both actual flow and consumption over a period of time. This gas meter works by means of a turbine wheel set in motion by the flow of gas. The number of revolutions of the wheel is proportional to the volume of gas passed through the meter. They meet the requirements for industrial, non-fiscal measurements. The Q/Q75 range is used primarily for heavier industrial applications. For fiscal applications, Honeywell offers fiscally approved meters, such as the TRZ2 or SM-RI-X turbine meter and the RABO or IRM-3 DUO rotary gas meter.
