Elster RABO
Elster's RABO is a rotary gas meter that operates on the positive displacement principle. Thanks to this volumetric measurement principle, operation is not affected by installation, making them ideal for compact measurement systems without inlet section. They record gas volume under operating conditions and are approved for fiscal purposes. The two rotating lobes, which in cross-section are in the shape of a numeral eight (8), are mounted in a housing with one inlet and one outlet. The impellers are interconnected via synchronizing gears. When gas flows through the meter, the impellers rotate without touching each other and transport a fixed defined volume of gas to the outlet. Each complete rotation of the system corresponds to a certain gas volume. The rotations of the impellers are transmitted to the mechanical counter via a reduction gear and magnetic coupling. Adjustment of the rotating gas meter is done using a gear pair in the counter. For very low flow rates, the RABO Compact has been added to the range.
Electronic volume correction devices (EK) can be used for volume correction.
