Kromschröder's BCU 460 and BCU 465 are advanced burner control systems that integrate essential components such as automatic burner control, ignition transformer, manual/automatic operating modes and status indications into a compact metal housing. This integrated solution eliminates the need for a separate local burner control cabinet, simplifying installation and maintenance. Designed to meet the requirements of various industries, including metal, ceramic, food and automotive, these units provide a reliable and efficient burner control solution for complex applications.
Features and Benefits:
- Suitable for direct ignited industrial burners with unlimited power in both intermittent and continuous modes of operation. Burners can be modulating or stage controlled
- Designed for mounting in direct proximity to the burner to be monitored, which simplifies system integration and reduces the load on the central furnace controller by taking over burner-specific tasks, such as safe restart after process interruption
- Optional air and gas flow monitoring available
- Interchangeable power module LM 400 for switching outputs such as drives and valves for burner control
- Supply voltage: 230 V-50/60 Hz or 120 V-50/60 Hz
- Safety functions according to EN 746-2 and EN 676, with SIL 3 rating (DIN EN 62061), equivalent to PL e (ISO EN 13849)
- Integrated parameter chip card for storage of all valid parameters. The chip card is transferable between units for easy parameter transfer in case of replacement. Parameters can be adjusted and read out via PC software BCSoft with optical interface
- Supports flame detection via UV sensors, ionization probes or alternatively via furnace room temperature
- Optional leak detection system and PROFINET bus communication module (BCM) available
